It is well recognized that using hydroseeding for landscaping and erosion control is economical and efficient while producing sod quality results.

Hydroseed applications include residential areas, golf courses, sports
fields, parks, new construction and highway sites. Depending on irrigation, watering and/or rainfall frequencies a properly hydroseeded area usually will show results in as little as ten days and can be ready for its first mowing in four weeks.

Benefits include the fact that hydroseeded ground starts growing grass from
the root first. This allows the root system to go deep in the ground where moisture is at its greatest, making a very drought tolerant lawn. Hydroseeding provides a moisture retaining mulch that allows the undisturbed seed to germinate and root quickly.

Advantages of Hydroseeding Over Dry Seeding

1. Hydroseeded lawns come up faster. The contact of the seed
   with water will trigger the germination cycle. We often see
   results within 7-10 days.
2. Unlike straw that is often used as a protective cover for a newly
   seeded area, hydroseeding mulch has NO weed seed. Straw is
   loaded with weed seed.
3. Hydroseeding mulch adds to the humus content of a lawn as it
   decomposes. The bacterial action of straw will leach nitrogen
   from the soil as it decomposes.
4. Not a significant price difference in hand seeding vs. hydroseeding.
5. Hydroseed is applied at a much more uniform rate across a large
   area than broadcast spreading dry seed.
